State visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Hellenic Republic

On June 15-17, H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan paid a state visit to the Hellenic Republic.

 In the framework of the visit, he met with H.E. Mr. Karolos Papoulyas, President of the Hellenic Republic, as well as other dignitaries of the Hellenic side: Mr. Antonis Samaras, Primer Minister, Mr. Vangelis Meimarakis, Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Evangelos Venizelos, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Alexis Tsipras, leader of the Coalition of the Radical Left.

 During the visit of Mr. President, 3 agreements were signed: “The Agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Hellenic Republic”,
“The Memorandum on cooperation for the European Union issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic”, “The Memorandum on cooperation in the field of youth between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs of the Hellenic Republic”.
