Azerbaijani president opens Ajdarbay Mosque in Baku after major overhaul

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have today inaugurated the Ajdarbay Mosque here after its reconstruction.
The Head of State and Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva viewed photo stands reflecting previous and future look of the Mosque.
Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade informed President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse on the reconstruction work.
The Mosque was rebuilt under the Order of President Ilham Aliyev signed in 2010.
The President toured the Ajdarbay Mosque.

Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Allahshukur Pashazade, Mufti of Russian Adygeya Republic and Krasnodar Krai Yemij Nurbiy, Mufti of North Ossetia-Alania Republic Hajimurad Gatsalov, representative of the Caucasian Muslims Office in Moscow Shafig Psikhachev and chief of Tatarstan`s Presidential department on interaction with religious associations Marat Gatin thanked the President for his attention to religious values.
