Visit to the Corfu Island
Ambassador Arif Mammadov visited Corfu on April 1-2, 2025. During the visit, the Ambassador delivered a speech to International Relations students at Ionian University on Azerbaijani-Greek relations. In a meeting with Rector Andreas Floros of Ionian University, the two sides discussed potential cooperation between Ionian University and universities in Azerbaijan. The Ambassador also met with Governor Ioannis Trepeklis of the Ionian Islands Region and Vice Mayor Spiros Chalikiopoulos of Central Corfu for Sustainable Tourism Development and Public Relations. During these meetings, the Ambassador briefed his interlocutors on Azerbaijani-Greek relations, and the sides explored opportunities for cooperation in tourism and city diplomacy.
